Hi everyone,

I've just completed a fascinating interview with two of the TOC Worlds most brilliant and innovative thinkers. Bill Dettmer and Eli Schragenheim.

Although the focus of the interview is on their new book "Supply Chain Management at Warp Speed" we also wander off into some other fascinating areas. They've got some great book recommendations between them, for example. Plus they talk about their next publishing efforts. Oh, and Bill mentions the key reason why you'd want to buy the book - it's the first public viewing of the TOC solution to ************** (you'll have to listen to find out). I can't tell you how pleasurable this session was for me - to chat with two of my heroes.

You can order the book here: http://www.amazon.com/Supply-Chain-Management-Warp-Speed/dp/1420073354/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239384783&sr=1-2

I've just spent a fascinating hour speaking with Israel Gat.

I admire Israel - he cares about people AND he wants to build good, commercially viable software. But more than that: he speaks the language of the IT and business executive.

You can read more about Israel, including links I mention in the podcast, here: http://www.agilethinkers.com/israel_gat_bmc/

[Note: this is not an Agile podcast]
Late last year I recorded a 25 minute interview with Alex Knight about TOC in healthcare.

Alex knows his stuff having worked very closely with Eli Goldratt over the years. You can read his one-pager here, you can find his website here.

I saw Alex present a session on TOC in healthcare about a year ago and
it was one of the most entertaining and convincing presentations - on
any subject - that I've ever seen.

TOC in healthcare: Andrew Kent

IÃïïve spent a fascinating 70 minutes this evening chatting
with Andrew Kent about his work using GoldrattÃïïs and DemingÃïïs work in
healthcare here in the UK.

This might sound implausible Ãï but Andrew makes statistical
process control sound interesting and relevant.
He also gives a lovely example of SPC during our chat Ãïï using SPC to make a
better cup of tea - and he discusses TOC in a way I've not heard before. Very clever chap.

You can find an example of one of Andrew's SPC charts on my blog:

How to build a house in < 4 hours - Clarke Ching chats to TOC expert John Parr

I've just spent an hour or so on skype this evening chatting with
Theory of Constraints expert John Parr. John used Goldratt's Critical
Chain project management approach to plan and execute the building of a
real habitable 4 bedroom house in less than 4 hours. It is a fascinating story.

Here's a link to the podcast:

John's website: www.businessflow.com.au
John's email: john@businessflow.co.nz

More details on the house build project: http://www.goldratt.co.uk/succ/habitat.htm

[btw: I recorded the conversation using skype and pamela recorder. I then converted it to mp3 using audacity. But it sounds a bit feeble in places. Any hints?]
